LUCKY!!! All I did with my Saturday was go to the International Food Festival, eat about three plates of food and one plate of dessert, and then spend the rest of the evening regretting that I had ever learned to eat.
Rita, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I spent so much of my childhood in small planes that I still don't want to go flying again. My dad was a doctor in east Texas, and he used to fly around as much as possible, and I would go with him for company. I often stayed at the dinky airport while he did whatever errand we were there to do. I spent many an afternoon leaning against the landing gear under the wing reading a book (at airports whose "facilities" consisted of a windsock). But the cars are so tiny from the airplane, aren't they?
Umm, I painted your living room.
Brian: We have an international food festival? Why doesn't anyone tell me about these things? I also missed the naked run this year due to failed communication. Gr.Hardlyb: The airports we landed at gave us free coffee and cookies.Alex: While productive, that is nevertheless objectively less exciting, I think.
Hi Rita , I spent my day flying to Nain,NL. long ways from where you are. Brian
No, you missed the naked run because you were in your Greek teacher's apartment translating Aristotle.
Rita-There's not really a big publicity campaign for the International Food Festival, b/c even with word of mouth there were easily 300 or 400 students there shoveling down free food. All sorts of home-cooked entrees as well as stuff from Cedars and Cafe Corea and Giordianos...home-cooked desserts...Middle Eastern belly dancing and a capella ensembles...it was high qual.Don't worry, you still have next year to eat until you drop.
i was attacked by a large spider deep in the 4th floor stacks. now my arm is kind of swollen.
Anonymous: In a single-engine plane? Because if not, you're still a step below in terms of excitement.David: You WOULD know when the Naked Run was, wouldn't you?Brian: Since I've missed it three years in a row, I'm not sure how good the chances are for attempt #4.Jon: You're in the 4th Floor stacks already? Your future looks grim.
