A correspondence between Wednesday afternoon and my history final, on the occasion of it being my last college paper

Dear Wednesday afternoon,

You are so close, yet so far away. Many uncertainties remain as you approach--will I be done in time? What am I even going to be about? What will I do after I am done? Will there be other papers, or will I be the last final, and you, the last deadline? Your imminence is at once welcome and dreaded. The question remains, will we ever meet again for a re-match?

Sincerely,
Miss Self-Important's yet-to-be-begun 10-page history final

Dear Miss Self-Important's history final,

Neener, neener.

Love,
Wednesday afteroon

That can't be all you have between now and Wednesday?!

Everything else is done, more or less.

Um, well, I agree with Mordu: "That can't be all you have between now and Wednesday?!" You can do one of my papers if you're looking to kill time. :)

Also, I perfectly agree with this coorespondence.

I haven't heard "neener neener" used in a while. It made my evening. Also, I wore the potato sack pants out at 2 AM, and did not stop traffic. Or elicit hoots and howls. I think it might be safe to give them a test drive at 11 PM for 15 minutes outside at some point soon.

Wow, can we say procrastination?

Liz: I am not efficient. One 10-page paper will take me well into Wednesday to finish.

Adrianne: My potato sack pants are unfortunately hidden from human judgment at my parents' house, but if your experiments go well, perhaps I will bring them with me next time and wear them in daylight--in my apartment.

Mark: Whatever. We all do it.

Enjoy your Thursday and Friday, Rita. You're the hardest working slacker I know. Take a long weekend.

Don't worry; I have a 9-day weekend ahead.
