Oh good lord.
I really don't understand the hub-bub. The man won a Nobel prize. Even communists have to concede he made important contributions to human knowledge, right? Is the UofC faculty really this wacky? Naming a campus research institute after a Nobel laureate who taught for decades at the university seems like a no-brainer. Heck, you won't hear a peep out of me when MIT wants to name something after Noam Chomsky. Perhaps I'll pay for Naomi Klein to give the groundbreaking address.
Since when did Chomsky win a Nobel Prize? Even one of those crappy ones, like Economics or Peace?
"Since when did Chomsky win a Nobel Prize? Even one of those crappy ones, like Economics or Peace?"He hasn't, but he has made some important contributions in linguistics.
"Is the UofC faculty really this wacky?"I leave you to decide this.
