I like to learn about the authors of other blogs via compact but thorough descriptions, but I don't like to make about pages of my own. This is my attempt at blog Kantianism.

I'm Miss Self-Important. I am a grad student in political theory. I'm originally from Chicago (specifically, Skokie, for those in the know), and went to the University of Chicago, along with about half the people whose blogs are linked to the right. I worked in journalism in Washington for a while after college. Now I study early modern political thought, own a cat, and write occasional book reviews for conservative magazines.
