This is a hollow space where a blog used to live, but it atrophied when its owner went to grad school.

I'm a graduate student in political science at a university in Boston, but am originally from Chicago, from which I've been in involuntary exile since 2007. To my great dismay, I presently live in southern California. I worked for a while in political journalism, but now I primarily work on my dissertation, write book reviews, and grow small plants on my balcony.
